Hello from Kimmy!

Kimmy here checking in from sunny Northern Arizona where I live the glamorous life of a single 4th grade teacher in a small rural town, the same one I grew up in. A few of the teachers I work with were my teachers as a kid. My students are like my kids. I've been teaching long enough (13 years) that some of them are grown up and have kids of their own now. I have 3 big beautiful black dogs (Bailey, Buddha, & Brodie). I love to travel, read, take pictures, and of course be crafty in my spare time (which is in small supply during the school year!)  I am also on the Punky Sprouts Design Team. If you're looking for awesome blank minis, check them out! Great products!

Here's my take on Rene's Layout.  While it's normally sunny here in Arizona, we get the occasional winter storm up where I live. No snow this winter yet though, which is why I had to live vicariously through last season's photos. I love snow!

Michelle O'Driscoll

Hi I'm Michelle.

So a little about me.
I am a mother of 2 elementary aged children; a girl and a boy.
We have 5 large goldfish & 3 dogs; a 14 yr old Black & Tan Beagle, 10 yr old Wheaten Terrier and a 2 yr old Sheepdog.  So, our house is pretty busy place.

Our family moved from the USA to Canada 3 1/2 years ago. I am a Jersey Girl born and raised. We lived in New Jersey about 5 miles from the scenes of the famed "MTV Jersey Shore" tv show. For a childhood both my husband and I remember growing up with. We moved to a small town just outside the capital city of St. John's, Newfoundland in Canada where my husband was raised.
I started scrapbooking back in 2004 after going to a class at a local Scrapbooking Store. Over the years Scrapbooking has become my SOS. Hence the name of my blog: Scrapbooking SOS. I scrap for me, my sanity and in the end my family benefits! Since our move I have been able to attend 2 retreats a year. Maintain the habit I started back a few years ago of making all my cards instead of buying them. I participate in online crops and challenges whenever I come across something that fits in!
Looking forward to designing and scrappin' with you all!

Here is my take on Renee's layout.

And here is Renees original

You have until midnight on January 31st to get your entries in. We would love to see them.

Kathleen White - 'Country Boy'

Kathleen here to share my take on the January XOXO scraplift challenge.

Even though this picture was taken in D.C. proper I have titled this layout "Country boy". Brendan hops from country to country yet loves to live in the country. He has now gone to his "new" post.

My page is based on the original layout yet turned on it side to fit my style.

Thank you for calling past.

Heather Guy - 'Fishin Hole'

Apparently introductions are at hand . . . I am Heather Guy. I reside in the Midwest state of Indiana with my husband Shane and my four boys . . . one teenager and triplet 7 year olds . . . 2 dogs and 1 cat! Never a dull moment!
Between my totally crazy and chaotic household, being a full time HR Manager, camping most weekends and rushing to soccer games and practices year round, one wonders how I have any time left to scrapbook. Scrapbooking is my creative outlet! My style tends to be masculine (imagine that!), distressed and yet quite simple! I love layering and inking and documenting my wild and crazy life!

here’s “at the ole fishin’ hole” . . .

Tess - 'That it stood'

Let me introduce myself. My name is Tess Pretty and I am the new design team
co-ordinator of our fabulous design team. I live on the New South Wales South coast of Australia with my husband Austin and our border collie Echo.

My scrap style is very girly these days full of layers and clusters and doilies. I scrap most in teals, pinks and yellows. My favourite products that you find on most layouts are flair buttons and washi tape.

I am currently also on the design team for Words or Whatever - an Australian company producing chipboard, wood veneer and masks. I love the interaction that design teams create and I can say that I have made some amazing friends around the world.

I can be found on my blog www.tessatmybest.blogspot.com, facebook, instagram and pinterest.

Now on to our January challenge.

Here is the original layout by Renee.

I have tried to minimise the blueprint of the layout so that it gives me heaps of white space.

That it stood

I loved how simple this design was and how it all came together. Remember to have a go at this challenge by the end of the month and be in the running to be a guest Lipstick Chick for the month of February!

Introducing Kathleen White

Welcome back Lipstick Chicks. We have a fantastic year in store for you this year including a couple of new Design Team members and we are getting back to our roots as a "scrap lifting" blog.

For 2014 we will become each others inspiration, and we hope to be your inspiration too. The design team members will take it in turns to scrap a page. The rest of the design team will scrap lift it. By doing this we hope to provide you with a glimpse of our individual styles as well as giving you ideas on how to scrap lift without creating exactly the same page as the original.

So with this in mind, we would like to start the new year with introducing out first new design team member

Kathleen White

Hi, my name is Kathleen White and I love to scrap! It all started for me over ten years ago when my daughter was in high school and I wanted to create a scrapbook for her graduation gift. I have been hooked ever since. My style is ever evolving but layering is my favorite style.

I am a domestic goddess with three incredibly talented and grown children. My home support team includes my husband of many years and our sweet little Boston terrier.

Here is a couple of pages to show off Kathleen's style.

Please show your XOXO love for Kathleen and make her feel welcome.
